Ms Srey Sotheavy

Sotheavy, currently is the Executive Director with the Alliance for Conflict Transformation (ACT). She has been working on peacebuilding in Cambodia since 2009, starting as an interfaith project manager, and later, peace researcher and deputy director at the Alliance for Conflict Transformation (ACT). In addition to her core work, she has also been involved in various volunteer works, including with the Working Group for Peace (WGP), joined as a steering committee member with the Asian Civil Society Committee (ACSC) / Asian People Forum (APF) both in regional and national for several years, a regional committee member with Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GGPAC-SEA), Action Asia member, CCA program steering committee member, and other related social just activities. Sotheavy graduated with her Master of Business and Administration in general management from Build Bright University in 2010 and completed short courses on peacebuilding and leadership training from the Philippines and Thailand. Sotheavy is passionately dedicated to peacebuilding and firmly believes a true spiritual conversion will lead to respect for the dignity, values, ethnicity, and religious traditions of all people. Peacebuilding is a long journey on which we must embark together with great patience and humility and forgive in order to transform our communities and society. All communities in Cambodia need to join hands to make our region one in which our shared values of peace, compassion, love, just peace, and harmony truly come to shape and characterize our society.
